About Kirsten Woods and Mind Wellness Therapy
About Mind Wellness Therapy
I believe healing begins in a safe, supportive space where you feel seen, heard, and valued.
Get to know me
You don’t have to navigate this alone
I’m Kirsten Woods, owner of Mind Wellness Therapy, a psychotherapist, Certified EMDR Therapist, and Certified Clinical Trauma Therapist.
Therapy should feel like a place where you can exhale, speak honestly, and begin making sense of what you’ve been carrying. My role is to listen carefully, help you understand the patterns affecting your life, and support you as you move toward meaningful, lasting change.
Compassionate care, tailored to your journey
Our work will be collaborative and shaped around your experiences, goals, strengths, and pace.
A safe space
Show up honestly without needing to have everything figured out.
Personalized support
Your therapy will reflect your needs—not a one-size-fits-all formula.
Practical growth
Build insight and skills that support change beyond the therapy room.
Support for what you’re carrying
I specialize in helping clients work through experiences that affect their sense of safety, connection, and well-being.

Professional experience grounded in compassionate care
I received my master’s degree from Southern Methodist University, where I studied professional counseling, marriage and family therapy, and chemical dependency counseling.
My clinical experience includes work in a psychiatric hospital and supporting clients affected by complex trauma, substance abuse, family violence, childhood trauma, attachment wounds, sexual abuse, grief, depression, and anxiety.
